It is Wednesday the 25th, and I am trying to take advantage of wifi time so I am adding another posting. Nancy and I made a drive to Buckhorn to pickup the repaired prop. During the travel we stopped at the Ojibwa Centre. Below are some of the things I thought were intresting. The first picture is of Nancy and I at a roadside tourist stop. Others are from the Ojibwa Centre, Wrights Marina in Britt,ON and on the road from Britt to Buckhorn.

Gore Bay and Kagawong
It is August 24th, and we are currently in Gore Bay, Ontario visiting fellow Loopers Mary Lou and Joan. It is great to come to a part of the loop and meet friends that you first met at a Looper Rendezvous. Mary Lou and Joan are aboard Catnip T00 and are Gold Loopers and have shared a lot of information about the Georgian Bay and North Channel. They have shown us parts of Manitoulin Island we would have never seen without their knowledge of the area. We went to see the Bridal Veil Falls at Kagawong. Kagawong is translated as "the mist that rises from the water". We later went to dinner inland at a beautiful resturant to complete a great day. Thanks Mary Lou and Joan.
This is St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church "The Sailors'Church" in Kagawong, Ontario on Manitoulin Island. The church building was dedicated on October 9, 1938. A sudden and extremely violent storm from the Northwest caught the Huffman cruiser in the channel between Manitoulin and Claperton Island, completely wrecking the boat and forcing the occupants into the larger area of Mudge and West Bay. Parts of the wreckage of the of the ill-fated cruiser were used in the construction of the memorial pulpit.
The pictures are of a small museum in Kagawong, ON. The building below was a paper pulp mill that produced pulp for paper used to print Sears catalogs. It is now a museum and artist studio. You can see the stator and rotor used to generate electricty used in the factor.

Nancy's Birthday
It is Friday the 13th, 2010 and it is Nancy's Birthday. She got what every girl wants a rebuilt prop for her boat. A gift she did not want was a submerged island which we have named after ourselves. At GPS location N045 02.435 W080 03.224 is Hamilton Island. We were joind by good looper friends Wayne and Ruth Pollock aboard High Spirts. We had the rebuilt prop on and out on the water before noon on Friday. Just because it is Nancy's Birthday, she does not get a day off. The Birthday party was in Killbear, ON. Sorry we did not get invitations sent in time for all to attend. We are now in Britt, ON and I will update blog soon.

Sights along the way to Parry Sound Ontario Canada
It is August 10th and we are in Parry Sound having a prop rebuilt. As the saying goes, we now have a submerged island (rock) named after us in the Georgian Bay. We will be in Parry Sound waiting for this prop to be repaired. With this blog I want to show the sights that we see as we travel. These pictures can only show a small sampling of what we see. It is so hard to express in a few pictures. From Parry Sound we will move on to Britt in Byng Inlet, then to Killarney, then we will make plans after that.
