Drummond Island to Chicago

Sorry for the long delay in sending any updates to the blog. I just got lazy on my duties to do this. I have entered that dates as we moved down Lake Michigan. The weather made for some rough travel. The cooler weather is moving South with many cool fronts which would build winds from the North cause up to 15 foot waves and we could not travel. Dates and towns became blurred and I am sorry to say I lost track of time and space. I hope to do better in the future. The pictures are of intresting sites we saw along the way. The picture of the boat in dry dock was for repairs to the keel after hitting rocks in the Georgian Bay and North Channel while in Canada. We did spend a week at Mackinaw City, and spent time on Mackinac Island as you will see the pictures of the Grand Hotel.

Mackinaw City, MI

It is September 7, and we are in Mackinaw City, MI. I have not been able to catch up on blog with Gore Bay, Ontario, Drummond, Is, USA, or Mackinac Island due to poor internet connection. As soon as I can get a connection where I can upload pictures I will. We cleared US Customs at Drummond Island and are back in the US. It has been pouring rain and winds have been steady 20 kts. with gust to 45. Waves have been as high as 15 feet. Too much to travel. Hopefully with good weather, Friday we will leave Mackinaw City and go to Charlevoix, MI. With a better connection I will update blog.
