Trenton Ontario

Today is Tuesday, July 20th. Arriving in Trenton Ontario on Monday the 19th, we planned to stay a couple of days to sight see, walk the town, and do some light shopping. We will head up the Trent Severn Waterway and the 44 locks on Wednesday morning. Having no schedule, we only have a tentative plan. The trip is about 240 miles and we think it will take 10-11 days.

Trenton is a town of small gardens and streets lined with flowers that are hung on each of the old light poles. We took a hike up to Mount Pelion Park, which was an overlook to Trenton and the Severn Waterway. Luckly the exchange rate for Canadian and US currancy and the coins are very similar. Except for the $2 Toonie and the $1 loonie coins, these coins can add up in your pocket and get heavy. I feel that we are eating our way across Canada. The food has been great so it is good that we have to walk everywhere. The pictures are of some of the murels we have seen in Trenton, the gardens, and from the look out at Pelion Park.
